Most of what we carry is hand-knotted — tied by hand, in wool — including fine Persian city weaves, soft Oushak and overdyed contemporary looks, bold tribal and village rugs, and our own Serenity house line, hand-knotted rugs that are washed and sun-dried for a soft, gently faded finish. If a piece is machine-made, we say so plainly; we never dress up one as the other.
