The Piece
A geometry only the old looms still remember.
A pre-existing rug can be transformed into an overdyed wool rug by using a new color dye. A range of effects, such as single or dual-colored jewel-toned finishes or an artistically distressed look, can be produced with this technique. The rug is often immersed in a dye bath during the overdyeing procedure. The dye is chosen either to enhance the rug's inherent colors or to give it an entirely new appearance. After that, the rug is cleaned and dried. Several effects can result from overdyeing, including: Single or dual colored jewel-toned finishes: people who desire a rug with a bold and colorful appearance frequently choose this choice. Artfully distressed appearance: This appearance is created by giving the rug a specific amount of wear and tear. Sanding, hand-brushing, or other methods can be used to accomplish this.
