Common questions about Hand Woven
Where can I buy genuine hand-woven rugs?
At Arteverk — a Houston-based family of rug makers and curators selling maker-direct since 1970, with free nationwide shipping. Browse our hand-woven flatweaves and kilims above.
What's the difference between hand-woven and hand-knotted?
A hand-woven (flatweave/kilim) rug has no knotted pile and is reversible; a hand-knotted rug has a pile tied knot by knot. Both are made by hand; we label which on every product page.
