Hand-Knotted Rugs for Los Angeles Homes
Los Angeles has one of the most discerning audiences for fine Persian and oriental rugs in the country — a city with a deep, longstanding appreciation for genuine hand-knotted weaving. Arteverk serves LA collectors, homeowners and designers with pieces curated to that standard, delivered anywhere in greater Los Angeles by carefully-handled courier from our Houston base. Because every hand-knotted rug is one of a kind, we photograph each piece as the exact rug you would receive, and we guide you on true colour, scale and the hand of the wool or silk before it ships — so a rug chosen from afar still arrives right.
Most of what we carry is hand-knotted — tied by hand, knot by knot, in wool or silk — including fine Persian city weaves such as Isfahan, Nain, Tabriz and Qum silk, bold tribal and village rugs, and our own Serenity house line, hand-knotted rugs washed and sun-dried for a soft, gently faded finish. If a piece is machine-made, we say so plainly; we never dress up one as the other, and we never label viscose as silk.

Serving Los Angeles Neighborhoods
Arteverk delivers and consults across the whole Los Angeles area, and we tailor what we show to how homes here are actually built and lived in. A few of the neighborhoods we serve most often, and the rugs that tend to suit them:
- Bel Air & Holmby Hills — grand estates with high ceilings and long formal rooms call for fine silk-and-wool Persians (Isfahan, Nain, Tabriz) and oversize medallion rugs that can carry a large space with genuine presence.
- Beverly Hills — glamorous, high-finish interiors that pair beautifully with luminous Qum silk and finely knotted city weaves, where sheen and detail read as luxury under evening light.
- Brentwood & Hancock Park — classic, traditional homes where curvilinear medallion Persians and soft-palette Tabriz weaves feel established and quietly elegant.
- Pacific Palisades — design-forward and modern hillside homes that suit cleaner Oushak and contemporary weaves in soft, minimalist palettes.
- Malibu — light-filled coastal interiors where gentle ivories, soft blues and faded Oushak tones bring calm without competing with the view.
Not on this list? We serve Los Feliz, San Marino and the greater LA metro too — just tell us your neighborhood when you reach out.
Rugs Suited to Los Angeles Interiors
Los Angeles homes span several very different design worlds, and hand-knotted rugs answer each of them. Three directions cover most of what LA clients look for:
- High-glamour estates. Bel Air, Beverly Hills and Holmby Hills homes reward fine silk and wool — Isfahan, Nain and Qum silk — and grand oversize medallion Persians. We stock oversize and palace rugs, including 12x15 and larger, so a rug can properly ground a great room or long formal space rather than float within it.
- Design-forward modern homes. Palisades and modern hillside interiors suit minimalist Oushak and contemporary weaves — soft, open palettes and restrained pattern that sit quietly under clean architecture.
- Traditional homes. Hancock Park and San Marino interiors call for classic Persians — curvilinear medallion designs in madder reds, indigos and soft ivories that read as established and timeless.
| Setting | Suited rug | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Bel Air / Holmby Hills estate, grand formal room | Fine silk-and-wool Isfahan or Nain | Fine knotting and refined detail carry a large, high-finish space |
| Beverly Hills glamour interior | Qum silk or luminous city weave | Sheen and intricate detail read as luxury under evening light |
| Open-plan great room, tall ceilings | Oversize / palace medallion Persian, 12x15 and up | Large scale anchors the seating and fills the space without floating |
| Pacific Palisades modern hillside home | Minimalist Oushak or contemporary weave | Soft, open palette suits clean architecture and restrained interiors |
| Hancock Park / San Marino traditional home | Classic curvilinear medallion Persian | Timeless design and warm colour feel established and elegant |
| Malibu coastal, light-filled room | Soft-palette Oushak or Serenity house line | Gentle, faded tones bring calm without competing with the view |

If you would rather explore online first, our collection and origin guides are the fastest way in:
- Browse everything — see the full range in our collection, where each hand-knotted rug is photographed as the exact piece you would receive.
- Learn the origins — read our guides to Isfahan rugs, Qum silk rugs and Oushak rugs to find the style that fits your room.
- Start with the big picture — our hubs for oriental rugs and Persian rugs lay out the traditions, and the rug weave guide explains how hand-knotted rugs are actually made.
Why Arteverk
- Weavers and curators, not resellers. The Malik family is third-generation in this craft — we commission, curate and stand behind hand-knotted rugs woven in origin workshops, so you are buying from people who know how the rug was made.
- Honest craft, honest labels. We clearly label every rug's construction and are candid about origin and age. Hand-knotted is stated plainly; anything machine-made is called machine-made, and silk is never confused with viscose.
- True-to-life imagery. Each one-of-a-kind rug is photographed as the single piece you will receive — never a stock stand-in — so what you see online is what arrives in Los Angeles.
- Fine weaves and oversize scale. We carry the silk and finely knotted city weaves LA collectors ask for, plus oversize and palace sizes for the city's grand, open rooms.
Arteverk does not have a Los Angeles showroom — our only showroom is in Houston, Texas. We serve LA through delivery we arrange from our Houston base, not a local storefront, so please don't expect to walk in somewhere in the city. What you can rely on instead: every rug is clearly labeled by construction — hand-knotted versus machine-made — silk is labeled as silk and viscose as viscose, and we are honest about origin and age. We are weavers, not resellers dressing up goods, so we would rather tell you exactly what a piece is than oversell it.
Delivery to Los Angeles
White-glove delivery is available in Houston and the nearby Texas cities we serve directly — Austin, San Antonio and Dallas. For Los Angeles, we do not offer delivery we arrange as standard, but reach out and we will arrange the best delivery option for your rug and your location. Houston is our home and showroom, but we ship anywhere in the United States, including all of greater Los Angeles, with delivery we arrange — your rug arrives carefully handled and ready to place, not left folded in a box. LA clients rely on true-to-life photography of the exact piece, plus our guidance on size, colour and how a rug will read in your light, before it ships. Either way, you deal with the same family that curated the rug, from first conversation to final placement.

What rugs suit high-end LA homes?
For Bel Air, Beverly Hills and Holmby Hills estates, we recommend fine silk-and-wool Persians — Isfahan, Nain, Tabriz and Qum silk — and grand oversize medallion rugs. Design-forward Palisades homes suit minimalist Oushak and contemporary weaves, while traditional Hancock Park and San Marino interiors call for classic curvilinear Persians.
Do you carry silk and oversize rugs?
Yes. We carry fine silk and silk-and-wool city weaves, including Qum silk, and we stock oversize and palace rugs, including 12x15 and larger, for the grand open rooms common in Los Angeles. Silk is always labeled as silk and viscose as viscose — we never confuse the two.
