Las alfombras persas, conocidas como alfombras Meshad, Mashad, se produjeron por primera vez en la ciudad iraní de Meshad. Las alfombras son famosas por su excelente lana, buenas técnicas de teñido e ilustraciones de dibujos animados bien creadas. También son famosos por sus diseños elaborados, que frecuentemente incorporan temas persas clásicos como el Herati (pez), el Chahar Bagh (una vista aérea de un jardín de cuatro partes), el medallón de Shah Abbas y el diseño del Arbusto.
